I’m currently working on a gratitude journal for kids and I thought it would be nice to include some hand-lettered illustrated quotes. I’m in two minds about quotes, while I do love a good positive quote, they can be a bit cheesy. But I’ve decided to throw caution to the wind and pile on.
So this quote is from the great Maya Angelou. It was actually a tweet from her. I remember reading her book “I know why the caged bird sings” when I was a teenager and I ploughed through that one and her following books. I absolutely loved them and loved her voice whenever she was on TV or radio. Now sadly passed.
The journal is printed in black and white, so I have a couple of variations as well as the colour hand-lettering.
