About & Contact

Hello, I’m Jennifer Farley – also known as Jen. I’m an Irish author, illustrator and designer.

I create illustrations for children’s picture books, maps, editorial projects, t-shirts and digital graphics. My artwork is bright and colourful, with a touch of retro charm, a splash of texture and a hint of humour.

Over the years I’ve written and illustrated children’s books of my own, as well as collaborating with other authors. I’m a former director and current member of Illustrators Ireland, and I’m also a member of the Association of Illustrators (UK) and Visual Artists Ireland.

With a master’s degree in Design, I’ve taught Photoshop, Illustrator and Design Theory for more than 15 years.

Alongside my book work and illustration work, I run Drawing The Dog – a shop dedicated to my hand-drawn art celebrating dogs and the people who love them.

Originally from Dublin, I now live in rural Ireland with my husband and our two much-loved rescue dogs, Betty the Mini Schnauzer and Albert the Yorkie.
