Mythical Beasts – Illustrated Greek Myths

This is a series of illustrations I created for different exhibitions at the United Arts Club in Dublin. The first exhibition was called Mythical Beasts. The illustrations include paintings from the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. The museum generously provides thousands of its images online in the public domain and actively encourages people to use them to make other art.

I download the high-resolution old masters from the museum website and add my own drawings to them. I use Photoshop to add texture and try to maintain the old oil painting look and feel.
