I absolutely love U2 and despite lots of other bands coming in and out of my life, they’ve always been a constant. An incredible live band and Bono is a master showman and a creative genius.
The first time I remember hearing them was when I was in the Gaeltacht (Irish Summer School) in Donegal during secondary school. Sunday Bloody Sunday was played at the weekly Gaeltacht disco. We all threw flag-waving shapes on the school hall dance floor. I think the next time I heard them was at Live Aid and that was it. A fan forever.
