Afghan Hound Illustrated Facts (Sketches)

Afghan Hound Illustrations Jennifer Farley

I love combining illustrations with facts. And in these sketches the focus is on the Afghan Hound!

Today is all about Afghan Hounds and their fabulous Farah Fawcett Hair. If I had the skills to animate my illustrations, I would set the soundtrack for Afghan Hounds to She’s A Lady by Tom Jones. Of course, not all Afghans are girls but they do all look like elegant ladies to me. Even the beautiful boy dogs.

There are lots of interesting facts about Afghan Hounds but one of my favourites is that the 1983 winner of Best in Show Crufts was called Montravia Kasark Hitari, but he was better known as Alfie. Just love those show dog names.
